    noosa

just been up at noosa for 5 nights and had the boat in tow. hadn't used the boat for a good 3-4 months

took my boat out on her first ever offshore trip on monday. went out to halls reef. the bar was a little rough but i got through it with only 2 waves breaking over the front.

got out there and started to get some bites. adam was onto a good fish which later got off. >crappy gear made it very hard to bring it up. from the way it was fighting it was thought to have been a decent squire/snapper. ???

i then began feeling sea sick so we went back across the bar at low tide. only just managed to squeese over the sand banks on the run to the bar.

went out that night for a night fish and had 2 good fish on both lost due to biting through the trace. probably jacks or tailor.

landed only 7 fish for the 5 days. 2 little bream 2 yakkas 1 little lipper 1 moses perch and 1 legal grunter bream.
it was great to get the boat wet again and spent more time in the boat than out of it.

can;t wait till next trip to noosa

    cheers phil

Did you try trolling your lures around Phil? More importantly, did you get any love from any schoolies of the fairer sex?

    Re: noosa

i sent the yakkas back down on the baitrunner and this produced a solid hit up however this didn;t produce any fish .
i didn;t get a chance to troll the lures around decided to try for the reefies first then the dreaded sea sick and strong winds came on. saw 1 bait boil on the way back in but forgot the lures and so wasn't able to have a shot at them.

dane noosa wasn't really performing very well. only the odd 1 or 2 fairer sex around so unfortunately no . oh well always next time.

may pay to change your tackle next time - a lighter whippy stick isn't always best
