hi all,took to water for first time in 7 weeks this morning after a long lay off due to work,and crap weather.went looking for mackies out wide(in bay) with first stop behind st helena island where i was getting some nice schoolies 2 months ago. the water was still dirty so went to harries for a look .did not even stop as i did not have a shoe horn and vaso to get in.went pulling spoons up rouse for a while but no luck just lots of bonito chopping about. went back to harries for a look,even more boats so went north and spotted bird and surface action but i think they were only more bonito. could not get to close to them befor they spooked.the only thing that could get close was 60g slug on 20 pound braid but no luck. other boats were further north doing same i think.so went back to st H for a quick shark or 2 befor northerly started then back to manly. no fish but a nice day.
i wonder when the spotties will show up in bay ??? ???

Hi I reckon by the mid december a few spotties will put in appearance, but the majority wont show till jan onwards.
This season should be better and bigger the last, and can only improve from now on.
