just got back from Awoonga yesterday. Was a great trip with a total of 21 club members and guests coming along for all or part of the 4 days we were there.
First two days blew 20 knots + E-SE and made it hard work, but some good fish were still taken. Weather came good on the Saturday with a strong NEer which dropped out into the evening. Most fish were taken at night with just a few taken in the late afternoon/dusk. All fish were taken trolling. Biggest was 115 cm and next was 103 cm. I caught my first barra of 48 cm on the last night and then another of 63 cm. No one lure, trolling technique, depth or colour worked best.
