Saturday North of Hutchies

Well I got the call up, so I for go the mack attack.
left bribie at 4.30 onboard Fishbone(dennis & ralphie)
Roscoe, Col and his boys(bonesy and wom), on the other boat.

jigged the m10 for nothing,so wide we went.
absolutely nothing happening on the surface all the way.
I was surprised due to the reports goin around
Got to 1st mark, bottom bashin for a few small stuff.
did a bit of movin around until we found some nice reef patches.
Was pretty quite (the odd keeper comin onboard-small pearlies in plaque proportions).

Thought I might try some jiggin, started catching bonito(beauty fresh bait)
then I hook up on a 13-15kg amberjack, my gruntin and swearin much to the amusement of others.
Dennis(fishbone) decided to have a go(wishin he didnt now-radox bath will fix ya aches).
He had to beat me, hooks up on something big (mind you he's using a 2 speed reel & 50lb braid).
Dennis played with it for a while, before-"I think I just pulled the hooks".
Well it turns out that a shark, decided it wanted his fish more. judging by the bite not a bad size.
No matter what we said Ralphie (ya big girl ) wouldn't try a big jig
Col was havin the same problems with AJ's on his boat using an Alvey(stick to the whiting maybe).

We decided to movin into 50m water for the arvo fish. I switched to a floater rig-BINGO
I could not keep up with the Snapper, after about my 4th good fish. the rest of crew switched, then it was 3 hooked at same time.

Col, the boys and Roscoe were havin the same fun. They got some horse Pearlies. We all bagged out and left them biting.

I have to say it was my best offshore trip ever, ya couldn't wipe the smile off.

Michael, thats some serious fishing trip!
that aj didnt stand a chance LOL.
I will be pulling out the black marks book for some swaps if this keeps up
the piccies can be downsized if youve got a photoshop thing, about 725 wide by 530h is the best.

Good fishing Michael, didn't give you a call Saturday as we got 1/2 way out the leads of the Brissy
River and the outboard sh!t itself Got towed back, end of trip. Thanks for the tow JB.

Top effort Michael Sounds like you had a great trip.

Seems there is a good run of Pearlies & Snapper at the moment.
We had the same thing out at the Banks Saturday Morning.
Floaters going off 3 at a time

Great fun when your in the right spot at the right time. Good effort
