Did my yearly north Q fishing trip with mate, Ollie, who flew over from London.
Rained so hard at Faust we almost drowned, luckily the boat has bilges! Only one 12lb barra off the flats.
Went to Tinaroo, got a couple of 40lbers. Ollie dropped a big one that almost pulled him out of the boat on strike.
On the last day lost 10 consectutive fish, estimated between 40-50lbs. Sheeeet, I couldn't believe it ??? ??? ???
Fished Cairns, went popping on the reef, managed a couple of GTs. Got blown away by a 20+kg fish and dropped another 20+kg fish.
Then fished the breaksea spit. A little hard with 15kts and a 2m se swell. Got toasted on heavy gear jigging.
That tinaroo sure produces some awsome barra, looks to be a sucessful holiday, some nice fish there george, im sure your drag systems got a good workout, hows the back after those GTs...foxy
Great to see you back george ! Some really quality pics there too, would have been one hell of a trip, that breaksea spit must be a pretty magical place i cant wait to get up there myself.
