Happy New Year Ausfishers!!

I spend Christmas in Perth and was lucky enough to get out for a day's fishing on my brother's boat with my Dad and brother. We picked up some live herring on the way out and then headed around the back of Rottnest Island to look for the mythical WA Samsonfish - and I must say they didn't dissapoint! We ended up getting 7 good fish up to the boat in a hot couple hours of fishing. We got hit on every drift but were busted often (later worked out that we got 16 hook up's but only managed to drag up the seven). We kept two and let the other five live to fight another day. Unfortunately, none of the three of us remebered to take a camera on board so the only photo's are from when we got back home. The big one was 28 kg's.
