    slow,but calm

well what a glorious day it was to be on the water!!
seams the majority of the billfish have moved further south. we trolled just about every where today (over 100nm i think). at about 10am we got stuck right into the by catch. doubles on hoo and yellowfin had me worried every time i put the pakulas back in the water. chances are the billfish may have been in the same area but we just couldnt get past the wahoo.
found a stray little black late in the arvo that took a liking to the swim gar on the SC. with one from one on marlin and a good feed of wahoo we headed in on millpond condtions.
slow day but cant think of much better way of spending a day.

and for the "slug tossing brigade" this is a photo i shot on the run hom just NW of the blinker. i have never seen so many birds and fish busting up in my life.. photo doesnt show it all well enough. seamed to be many mac tuna about 2-3kg, but we hooked all the fin trolling near similar size mac tuna out a bit wider.

nice fish jeff would rather have been catching bycatch than re-footing our verandah and getting shaken to sh!t with a jack hammer.

    Re: slow,but calm

what you talking about with the gaff roota? if you mean the mark near its tail zoom in on the pic and you will find thats some sort of blotch on the fish not a gaff hole.. all gaff shots were head, gills or shoulder
re footing the veranda crickey!! you can have that.
