    Re: The Bay Saturday

Wasn't having a go at ya Webby, I'm the odd one out with my taste for tuna. Just thought I'd use your post to voice my dissapiontment in this guy trying to take the pleasure out of Adam's catch. If I see ya at the ramp one day I'll still swap ya the tuna for macks.

    Brian,

You've spent too long soaking those stinking baits into deep water chasing round silver things. If you'd diversified a bit by chucking some things around at high speed you'd realise it's a longtail not a yellow fin.

I dunno - next you'll be calling marlin - dolphins or something similar

My best bay longtail came on a pillie - strange really.

Brett, What do you classify as round silver things ???
Mate even some of the billfish brigade, as you can read werent sure.
As for diversifing, the catch rate on baits is just to good to change . I'd prefer a snapper anyday to some of those speedy things
But we all like a bit of fun during the summer months.
I take it the Bogey will be trying to hang one of those pennants off it flag pole .

Trying Brian about sums it up.

No experience, no gear and no fu#$ing idea is really working against me - but hey I'll get there in the long run.

oh - those silver round things are 80cm things you call squire but I gues they're not that round at 80cm

    Geday Webby ,
At least that Long Tail Tuna should make 3 or 4 good Snappa baits .
Top catch on 10 kg line . [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

    Hi Brent,
I fish around Wellington point a fair bit in the past, but have recently been caught up in the SP craze. havent caught much on them, as i'm new to this technique and just wanted a few tips and some spots near wellington point for squire/snapper to try out.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Huey
