First Bay Trip
finally after having the boat for over 18 months i have taken her on her first proper bay trip. we eventually arrived at a beacon. there was only 1 other boat there so we dropped the anchor and began a slug attack with a pilchard floated out the back. after a few hours of this we caught nothing! > the other boat out there caught a small cobia which was released and looked as though they dropped a couple more fish as well. then we went back in to the passage and caught nothing! anyone else get out today?
it was great to get the boat out again haven;t taken it on a day trip since june 04. total catch was 3 bad cases of sunburn.
cheers Phil

Thats fishing. Did Dad go with you too? and if so how did he enjoy it?
Could be the start of regular bay trips.

dad did come along and suprising he had a great time. e just sits up on the bow with his alvey in hand and bait in the water and enjoys being away from work.
im hoping that this does become a regular thing as it was great to be out on the water.

Re: First Bay Trip
Phil, It seemed quiet today at the Beacons, but a great day to be out anyway. Hope you get to take the boat out a little more often as the Macs should start to run shortly.
