fished and prawned everywhere last night for no prawns or fish. fished the runout tide at boyds over the eastern bank for one small flathead on softies. went out the wall to fish the first of the come in for one small pike. came towards home to see three groms fishing on boyds and yelling and screamin about sumfing. jumped outa the car to have a look only so see a 10 odd kg jew hammering bait on the surface. tried everythin you can imagine for no hits. moved a bit only to see 3foot long giant herring just hammering bait near the bank. school of em in the 3foot range. tried every lure for em for a lot of lookers but no hits. went down to tha bank to look for prawns, there were hundreds so i grabbed fifty and floated them right past the herring for no hookups. what a pain.. caught some herring which i think thjey were eating for lookers again but no hookups. was getting to break/ sell rods kind of frustrating so bailed before the storm and gave the women a hard time. was so bloody painful to see such quality fish for no result. >
