    Re: sunday off sth passage

Hey Greg ... I thought it could have been you .you too did the long haul hey ...she was quiet !!! .

There was a lot of boats working in close on the cape . after half an hour round the cape we threw in the towel ...too many to work around ....the run from south passage to shallow tempest we had it to ourselves ...i am extremelly surprised we pulled nothing off those bait balls down south .

    Rob ,
The boat is a Tristram 641 . Kiwi boat , not many over here
I am actually quite impressed ...it handled it like a charm .
I felt AOK , and the stabicraft we were following out was slowing us down ...i think they were more worried then us ( or me # ).
We went out the main passage ....followed the channel all the way up the inside of moreton to the end and then hooked out # ...their was another break out the back the peaks were falling over on and we had to run north through the middle of that and the inner break .
My mate was feeling a bituneasy as they were standing up on us a bit, and we kept having to put the nose into them and turn back sideways after we went over the top ....but yeh , she handled it without a problem ...quite comfortable considering the swell size . He was STOKED to say the least that we got through .....one happy customer !

I was trying to call you up around 5 am and again before we got out the bar , then later again .
We spent most the time on 22 trying to find out what was happening in the comp and work out where the bite was ....or what there was of a bite #

Taking another look at the photo of Leannes fin ....thats a damn nice size ! much bigger then the average 3 kilo jobbies we were finding

Well done Team BugMauler lol, or is that Mackman lol.

Congrats on the bycatch guys although it does look like Leanne has shown you all up...

Often wondered what would happen if Rob had access to a bigger boat lol, no need to have worried about the outcome.

    Cheers,

Thems the breaks ...both calling but obviously not listening at the same time ...

we can atleast take comfort in the fact that neither of us would have been able to assist each other in finding a bill !

this weekend i have to devote to my LOVELY fiance .....finishing touches on the wedding plans ..head up to the venue and put everything in order.

but next weekend she is going away for her hens weekend ....guess i will have to #find myself something to do ....like 2 more days of fishing
nice timing too .... run up to the new moon !... game on ![smiley=2thumbsup.gif] #[smiley=2thumbsup.gif] # #
