    Suprise Trip

    Bloody excellent, [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]
The wife's on the ball [smiley=heart.gif]. Woke up Tuesday to a 'Put this blindfold on'. Next I know I'm on a houseboat in the broadwater and it's not even my birthday. Seems she thought I needed a break from work [smiley=help.gif]. After settling in and droping the pots, having a swim and a bit of a fish at wave break it was time for the night drinkies with a couple of freinds. With everyone getting drunk [smiley=freak.gif] [smiley=dizzy.gif] [smiley=drunk.gif] and poker winnings of plastic chips not being real exciting we upped the stakes to dares of eating lemons, live crabs, yabbies, swiming a good distance in the dark and sculls [smiley=shocked2.gif]. OK enough nonsence and time for bed. A late wake, time to give offshore a peak. Getting a bit messy so a quick run around close (12 fath to Mermaid) to see what's around. A couple macks and tuna joined us aboard and time to return as getting a bit messy on the falling tide. The 2 pots held 6 good bucks which was great as I love my crab [smiley=thumbsup.gif]. Decided a quick run to the Pin before returning the houseboat for a couple of flatties and bream (all released). When the wife pulled a remora and thought it was a small cobes, I tried convincing her to give it a pat on the head but she knew I was up to some evil (especially when it wouldn't let go of the eskie lid). A good trip but always ends up back in the real world . Just makes getting away even better .
    Cheers,
    Happy Jay

He decided to swap me the yabbie for my crab as the yabbie wasn't going down without a fight

Always chew your food- especially when they have pichers .

    Re: Suprise Trip

Don't think crunching the crab worked out to be a much better choice .

Sorry, meant the sucker fish. And I know, I'm an idiot and yes, yabbies do taste just like lobster- try one.

Good to see some variety in the Fising Reports section!! Some daring photos, love the yabbie on the tongue! Half your luck, Getting away on a Tuesday to boating, eating, drinking and fishing. Appears you did quite well too from you catch of crabs and macks!!

    How jealous am I?!

    Cheers,
    Hutcho
