Its been a frustrating time down here at Brunswich Heads. We thought the bar was big yesterday as it took over an hour of waiting inside the breakers for the 'right' lull in the surf to get out. Well worth the wait but!
A mate and I were the only two boats out on an oily sea without a zephyr of wind until we returned at 12 midday on the top of the tide.
Couldnt get a 'livey' so dead slimies were used on the slow troll around the local reef.
There wasnt a period all morning where a bait lasted longer than ten minutes! It was just one of those days.
Only took about 20 baits and came home with no bait but 14 fish, cobia, yellowfin, 2 spots (7.8kilo & 8.6kilo) and the rest spanish mackerel. As expected the four clients were more than happy!
Unfortunatly, the accompaning photo is of the bar today. A touch bigger than yesterday and not worth the risk. Although one crazy guy just got out in a pretty small boat. I'm taking the camera back to see if I can get a shot of him coming back in!
Cheers
