    Manly - Moreton Bay..Sun 30th

We headed out from Manly about 5.30...what a beautiful morning..first time for quite a while since I have been out into the bay & blessed with a corker.
Headed out with no particular plan...saw a few boats at Harry Atkinson so went over for a sticky beak...dropped a few pillys on the drift..immediate hook up..there were little squire everywhere & we were lucky enuff to snare 2 good keepers.
Time to head to the beacons...quite a few boats around & not many fish...stuffed around there for a while with no luck.
Decided to head over to Tango for a poke around & then headed across to a small group of boats straight out from tango..had a ball there..squire everywhere & a few schools of Macks..got a couple of mack keppers & another 2 nice size squire..my bro in law hooked up something..fought it for about 20 minutes & then got busted off..big shark??
Pillys & squid doing the job but also caught a number of fish on some plastics..got a big hit on a whiting look alike plastic
& got busted..about 12.00,ran out of bait & thought time to head back..
All in all an awesome day on the water...the bay seems to be in good shape..loved it!!!

    Yes,

Great to be on the water but slept in, left Manly at 7.30 to find 3000 other people thought Tanga was a good spot to be. Still a good day tho (where would I be without a boat)

Naturally all becons, Mud etc fully booked for the day. Had some fun playing with some small whiting at the Sandhills (all returned) and quick stopover at Harry's on the way home, which turned out to be waste of time but got rid of the last of the bait.

Still a great day to be on the water.

    Cheers,

Beaut looking day! Is that rooster tail coming off the transducer draging in the water as I've had probs of my burley bucket doing the same and entering the air intake at rear of engine . Seems to be well away anyway. All those squire should bring a couple good snapper seasons around.

Yep it was a beaut sunday....I was at 6000 metres above you. Don't know whether you saw us? We flew straight out over Tangalooma, Moreton, Flinders, and all the way up the barrier reef and over to Japan with Japan Airlines. It looked dam fine down there, and how I all the more wished I were there, for I am now back in the grey cold skies of Germany and the Netherlands.

Don't know when I'll be back home - perhaps in a year or two Truly great to see the pictures on the ground. Thanks.
