big ugly something
had a fish in the canoodle around the bourdwalk late arvos at caloundra over the past weekend for flatty;s and trevers with very limited succes. caught great liveys of all types and the big fullas were just not willing to play. put the bream gear close to the structure and was rewarded with a couple of bream @ 30 cm and then got a big bite off. well blood got pumping so in comes the livey from out wide and placed in under the structure with near instant result. a big ugly bugger grabbed my livey and procceded to take me for a tow amoungst the pilons resulting in a @ 2 minute one sided smoking. never even got close to a visial and what ever it was had head shakes and pretty hefty non lathagic bursts of speed. any clues and yes i will be back and with thirty pound again becouse like always if i up the anti my livey will die of old age more than likelly . spewing foockchucker

Don't tend to get really aggressive runs out of the cod - they just bump you as they come out from hiding to snatch whatever it is.

I know this may seem weird, but don't discount the possibility of a fingermark. The symptoms sound right. Still could be a greasy as sometimes they don't fight according to the book. best bet is to get the bloody thing. Let us know if you get it.
