Headed out to the close reefs again this morning,
was an absolutly beatiful condions, dead calm with
no bar at all. Anchored up and filled the livie tank
with some fresh yakkas. some goofball forgot the pillies
namely me ???oh crap! there still in my car as i write this
.. oh dammit >, first if forgot to take em out this morning
then i leave em in car, bluddy hell better finish up this
post and get down to the carpark and get them out of my car!
So , anyways we put out a few livies and started spinning.
Very quiet morning with only a few spots landed , had 1 hit
but that was it. After and hour heaths ballon pops and somethin
takes his livie, no hookup. After about a minute my livie
takes off and we hookup solid. After 2 runs around the boat, then1 around somebody elses boat we got a glimse of wat looked like a noah..but no it was a good cobia. After some hefty runs and some serious round the boat action be boated a nice 30pder my biggest cobe yet. [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]
Should have seen the faces on the boats around us as we realeased
the big bugger to fight another day. Magnificent fish.
just before pack up time, heath hooks up to a blue , then not a minute after i managed a nice spot.
For a very quiet morning on reef i'd say we did bloody well!
