    SW Rocks - Fish tale

Came across this report from South West rocks for last week.
    Classic catch. #[smiley=2thumbsup.gif]
Bet he will be telling that story for awhile.

    Extract from Report:
    ==============================
Weirdest catch of the week went to Mick Neill holidaying from Queensland, who was fishing a mile in from the FAD trolling a Halco Laser Pro 190 at speed when all hell broke loose. He had a 10kg mahi mahi on the front treble and a 6kg wahoo on the back treble and still managed to land both fish. Amongst the confusion a skirted lure went off but this one got away.

    Gorilla,

    Thanks for posting the story!

However, I feel I must correct the record to do my fellow crew members justice. Some details were lost in the "chinese whispers' stage!

Both rods went off at about the same time and Don Tyson grabbed the skirted lure hook-up while I took the other. His fish was coming in faster than mine, so young Mick Bradley grabbed the gaff. I thought I'd do the gaffing (my fault if we lose the fish) and handed Mick my rod. Despite me being the worse gaff operator in Australia and more experienced than young Mick(I've lost more fish),we managed to land Don's fish-a nice 6kg female Dolphin fish.
Mick pulled the other two fish in and with our hearts in our mouths managed to gaff the dolphinfish and drag both over the side of the boat.A good team effort by the crew!
You're right, we'll be telling the story for quite awhile yet and it wasn't bad way to catch our first wahoo!!

    Hi Mick,
The man himself. Welcome aboard ausfish.
Landing all three is even better. [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]
Stick around mate, would be good to hear a few more Nrth NSW fishing reports; (especially when the Jewies are firing around Cresent )
Nice neck of the woods you live in there. see pic.

    Alex
Might do Stand-up Johny good to read a few of the comments on here.
Gotta be better than what he seems to be listening to at the moment.
    Cheers
