Picknic wynnum creek

Went with the mrs and loaded up the car with blanket and a nice lunch heading to wynnum creek. at last notice snuck the fishing rod in while the mrs was not looking and some whitebait i had in the frezzer. The mrs fround when i bought the rod out as soon as she had made the picnic blanket up. i fished accross from the fish and chip shop there on a rising mid tide. 2nd bait in was nailed by a real nice flattie going about 2 kg. had to walk him about 100m to some steps to get her up the 2 m wall. With croud of useless lazy council workers gathered got one to hold the rod as i went down to grab the fish. Finally grabbed the awkward fuker and got her up. Realizing the sise i got her back in quickly at the concil workers dismay. A great fight in all and a top picnic was had..... not too bad a effort using old bait and on 6pd line.
