Hey Jeremy I used to be in the BSFC twenty years ago when Steve W was president. If the guy concerened was Steve G then I can understand the capture, he has always been a great fisherman. Even if it wasn't Steve then a fantastic catch it still is. We used to catch bass up past Harry's Hut in canoes on 1 kg line and it breaks like cotton, but to pull a jack on 1 kg certainly entitles a bloke to bragging rights for a long time. Well done

Checkout the world record lists, there was a write up about the capture of those big blacks on 1 and 3kg, a real eye opener thats for sure.

Steve G is a master of the light line, that's for sure, but it wasn't him. Do you know/remember Kev B? I think he is the grand master.

Jeremy I do remember Kev however I did not have much to do with him, used to hang about with Steve G, Steve W, Mick D and a few others no longer associated with the club, great days to be sportfishing in the early eighties. Glad to see the club still going strong
