    Mackeral in Ballina

Hi guys, headed out off Lennox point to see if there was any mackeral around. The good news is I saw about 10 landed, 5 by the pro boat that was there, and ummmm....none by me!!! it was so bloody frustrating, I was slow trolling live yakkas and pike, using stainless single strand 40lb wire. What was I doing wrong??? ??? ??? If anyone can help me with this that would be greatly apopreciated, Tanks, Sean

I'd be using wire too. Was the pro using a downrigger? Sometimes the mackerel can be real fussy and only take certain baits. Maybe the pro had slimies?

That many spaniards around would think youd get something, any bites?

I know with the lures I norm use the pros will outfish me 5/1.
