Got a ride on the magic pudding with CJ at the wheel with scott and andy being the other crew, head sea ride going out with some steep swells but the big OC charged along.
First decent fish was a dolphin for scott, took a pakula out of the 5 line spread plus 2 teasers so we had some clearing to do, no stuffups it made it into the boat.
Next hit the short corner gar rattled so I picked up the rod and dropped back with a good black taking to the air, looked about 50 and ripped the water to foam, pulled about 300 off, got it all back and the dam hook came out.
sometime around lunch CJ was away with a black, was around 35kg and very stubborn after driving off it for 45min it was still coming up and jumping, finally rammming a hole into the plastic on the motor, it got a tag for its trouble.
the afternoon was frustrating with 4 hits all dropping the gars. conditions came real good through the day with a easy run home on auto, thanks fellas top day.
