hit the water at 2.30 today after a nice cruisy day at work. the boss and i went for a fish. chased some mac tuna around for a while, then decided to anchor up and have a fish on dusk. havent fished like this for at least a year now.. got the burley going and the snapper werent far away.
ended up with 5 good ONES (4-7kg), a squire, a grassy and a schooly.
...the first decent one to come aboard.
after i caught my 3rd knobbie he thought he was out of luck...he had the last say when he caught this nice fish.. we got a double hook up then left the fish biting
the end result (minus mackeral and squire)... the grassy was 33cms and just thrown in for comparison

i have heard of a few times people have caught billys while reef fishing (and even jigging bait
we have hooked a few bills jigging bait... and we were wider than some of our marlin marks so its always a big possibility.
G/ day jeff top fish mate gotta be happy with those after a year off the b/bashin, im headin up to alex over easter got a unit on the beach so im takin the boat up for a trip off mooloolaba never been out up your way so any info would be helpful. eg where to put in, hows the bar, good areas to start.
