Fished from the bank along the Wynnum North Esplanade this morning with SP's for a few hits but no hook-ups. Used squidgy 55mm wrigglers, berkley 2 inch grubs and berkley 3 inch bass minnows. Every retrieve was followed by small bream and whiting. At one point there were about a dozen small bream all circling the plastic. The number of small fish in the area is a good sign for the future.

As I was walking along I spotted a small shovel nose ray of about 50cm in the shallows and actually dropped the plastic on its nose but it just swam away.

I had never fished that area before so I was not sure what to expect, however it wasbetter than being at work.
