Headed to Southport today for a picnic with my lovely wife. After a feed of fresh seafood I thought I would have a quick flick with the SP's around the boat ramp on The Spit just past Seaworld. I only fished for about 20 minutes but managed to land a 38cm flathead (released). I am glad my wife suggested I put the rod in the car.

I think i know how you feel with the plastics ...i have only just recently started making scores on em . But over the last few trips i have gotten some beasts of flatty's .
