Gada all
how was the weather on the coast today?
was very windy at the dam today but still fishable
well thats almost an under statement.
i took plastics and my new Jackall TN70 gold sides and a orange belly.
was determind not to loose it too at $40 i wasn't taking any chances.
had my mitchell copperhead rod ( 4Kg) with a Pflueger Trion bait caster loaded with 20lb wiplash braid to a 50lb Jinki leader.
mite be overkill but ive still got the jackall and had 1 of the best bass fishing days this season.
on the water at 7am ish fished till about 1:30 -2.
ended up with 16 bass for my efforts smallest at 27cm and the biggest at 34cm
but most of them 30cm or there abouts.
was a bit slow to start with just bumps and follows till almost 9am then 4 fish caught to 930. another dry spell till 11:45, then 6 fish to 12:30, and the last 6 of the dam caught fish between 1:20 and 2 pm
so had a top day and just to finish it off i stopped at the local river crossing on the way home and tossed a 2" berkley minnow on a 1/40 jigg for a flathead and a bream and dropped a second bream
but cant have everthing your own way
but the jackall certainly works well even though it looks a bit second hand now bite marks all over it and trebble scratches.
anyway heres is a couple fish , don't want to bore you with all 16 bass and the other 2.
Cheers Cloud 9
