Headed out with three mates to the rubble ground off Wello Pt early on Saturdau morning. Only there for 20 minutes when squire landed that went 40cm on 3" bass grub in gold glitter. Thought the snapper had come to greet us when Scott's reel started screaming and line was peeled at a rate of knots. First glimpse and "snapper", "snapper" was the call as the colour was first seen. Turned out to be a 70cm "mother in law" or mowong. All in all great day on the water with overt a dozen fish just under being thrown back. Next week a mud trip is on the cards.
