Winter Whiting 5/6/05???
Fished around the Compass Adjustment buoy Sunday and found the drift a bit fast. Got no bites. Caught a bit of wire weed though!
I may need some of Surf_Snipers wizz bang worms!!!.
Got the sh!ts with the whiting and headed over to Tangalooma in search for some Mackeral / Tuna.
Sighted only 1 small school with no hook ups.
Dropped in a Halco 2 metre plus high speed deep diving lure for around 20 kilometres and you guessed it, ZERO.
If anyone has any tips on high speed trolling dont be afraid to let me know. My location was probably not favourable but you never know your lick in a big BAY!
Ended up out the front of Tangas and got the usual grinners.
Had lunch on the beach and headed over to the "Paddock". I have never been there before and though I should check it out.
Found nothing that would hold fish.
Anyone been there before?
Ventured to the Outer Measured Mile and hooked up to several small squire.
The day turned out to be perfect weather wise in the end.
A good day had by all.
Cheers

Yep I found the whiting were scarce yesterday too. We saw at least 2 pods of dolphins and also a number of solitary dolphins too, probably goes a long way to explainig the lack of cooperation on behalf of the whiting around the bouy.
At least it was a picture perfect day and you could do all your travelling in comfort
