    Bruns-Mixed bag

The Mackerel werent bitting as much today so headed wider for an average mixed bag. 4 anglers = Pearlies, squire, Kingies, amberjack, sampson, doggies and spotties. The kingfish were thick. Didnt matter what bait or jigs were dropped down, they got hammered every drop. The small one on top in photo was 69cm. There were some real beasts busting us up as well! Released approx 20 kings! Must have been a massive school of them.

Hi Angla, we left at dawn and were back at 2pm. * hours all up.
Hi DC, I've just purchased some Okuma-Epix for jigging and the rest were caught on the ever reliable Shimano TLD 25's. These are loaded with 60ld braid and 80ld leaders. It will be interesting to see how long the Epix last with this sort of action consistantly, but at least they arent expensive.
A mate landed 4 spanish on lures in close yesterday until both his favourite lures got smashed. Both lures are probably now a long way away.
