Rock and beach club outing

There was an association outting on saturday/sunday.
Fished sat night with a mate and didnt get anything. Trent pulled 3 nice fish that night. I got smashed by a 2kg+ big eye trevally on first cast.
Moved back down the breakwall beafore dark and threw out a mullet fillet. Barely hit botttom and was smashed by an unstoppable. *note to self upgrade line*
Kept fishing till 8pm without any legal fish. Msotly small throwbacks. Put out a whole squid and was hit hard with no hookup. And to add insult to the whole ordeal an 18kg jew was hooked 10m away about 30secs lata. and another 10kg jew was caught about 5 minz lata 10m the other side of me. Boy was i a sad little camper.
Next morning headed out with no real hopes but managed 6 bream between 800g-1.2kg.
got runner up in the junior comp and also got the lucky door prize of a bag and knife.
Overall, most people got bream and blackfish. A few aussie salmon and tarwhine.
Went out not long after the comp weigh in and managed 7 blackfish. Very annoyed i didnt try for them earlier.
