    SNAPPER,SNAPPER & MORE SNAPPER,  BANKS 30

Left Mooloolaba around 3.45am for a flat run all the way to the northern end of the banks. Started off in the 55m with 1 snapper around 3-4kg per bait dropped. Decided on only keeping three and letting go around 9 to try and nail a few larger knobbies. We then moved out to the 90m water to find some pearlies but only to get nailed by more snapper. For an hour and half it was going crazy with us using floaters in 90m of water to get nailed everydrop mid water by good solid snapper, nailed 2 at just over 8kg with 1 just under 8kg and the rest around the 6kg mark. We released around another 12 snapper, which is something we've never done with such quality fish. Have'nt seen such a hot bite before. Great trip home with us coming across a big pond of dolphins and nearly had him taking pillies from our hands. Top day

good advice from spiro the night before gave us the idea of letting the smaller ones go, to chase the larger ones, owe you a beer chris or a snapper.

Scott15, did'nt really have many boats around at all only had 2 to our south and that was all we could see.

Dave, bait used was squid and pillies, with 2 of the bigger snapper going for half of pillie on a single hook.
