Mrs Bugman finally lands a snapper
Well its been years in the making and the experts have all tried and failed.
Sandman talked me into the trip promising good weather so loaded Bogey, Leanne and Leanne's dad Rob for an early morning trip to Hutchies on Sunday.
Arrived just after dawn with a fair current pushing the floaters away quickly. Leanne pulls the first one and Rob the second. It was their first snapper each so they were wrapped. Rob pulls another slightly smaller while I drop about four.
After breakfast of bacon and eggs and some whale watching it was off home for lunch.
She sure was happy.

Good stuff Bugman.....you sure have had big weekend on the Snappers.

Re: Mrs Bugman finally lands a snapper
Bret,
After you had your Bacon & Eggs the weather calmed down to a pond , i moved onto a Spot i have happily named T10 as we landed 15 quality snapper in about an hour. Webby hooked onto a whopper of what could possibly been a shark but i couldnt hack it and cut the line. Ray should have the photoes up today so i will add to the report. It was a good call in the end except for those Leatherjackets My God!!

Well done Leanne. What was the traffic like at hutchies Bugman? We were heading there on Saturday but changed our mind when we saw how busy Brennans was.

Kev,
There was only one other boat there when we arrived just before dawn. In total probably no more than 6 to 8 boats before we left about 9:30.
Thanks everyone - Leanne's only disappointment was that she won't get to eat it as her dad quickly whipped it away to feed the rest of the family on the Mountain.
Had to laugh.
