    CAIRNS 22-08-05 Inshore action

Another day in paradise, slept in thinking the wind would blow up but woke up to a great day. Out of bed about 8am, so it was too late to head for the reef, but couldn't resist launching the boat anyway. Headed down to Yorkeys knob and then out to a little inshore spot frequented by every man and his dog.

Threw the baits over and things were a bit slow (can't expect much cause by then it was about 10am). Still, managed a couple of nice fingermark and a horse GT that took a live hussar. Spent a couple of hours at that spot then headed in, home by lunch time.

    cheers,

    steve

    Great fingermark scuttlebutt
One of the very best eating fish in the sea. Good to hear from some North Qlders.

some nice fish mate. Looks like must be one of the wrecks just north of yorkeys. Wouldnt mind a little info on rigs that your using......Ive fished the wrecks for not much at all! > > >......Frustrating when you dont know how to or where the fish producing spots are!

Good guess Bazzaman! Rigs are pretty standard - with the wrecks it's strictly a case of Location location location. You can be off by 20 metres and get nothing!

    cheers,

    steve
