    Sunken Reef

Woke up yesterday moning and decided to give the mackeral a go. Headed off to Sunken Reef, 6km SE of Sarina.

The mackeral were around but just not taking the bait. Dad hooked a few but lost them at the boat. Dad also had a handline in for the sake of it when he hooked a 3kg Coral Trout. As he hauled the trout in i threw my handline in. Wasn't long before i pulled up a 2.5kg Coral Trout as well.

Back to the rod i was able to hook a 5kg Mack Tuna and soon realised the pulling power in them, needed dad to help me land it. Nice outer island reef bait! Only one mackeral was brought home that i could claim, quite unusual for this time of year.

Nice day, saw some whales breaching and carrying on earlier on the way out in the morning.

TROUT FOR TEA ON THE BBQ - IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!!

    Hi RedEmporess,

    Cheers,
