went out on the annual charter with my "uncle" plan was to head down to the bait grounds do some drifts and see if the reds were home. after a 30minute cruise along the coast of noosa and sunshine beach we arrived at the grounds. the bait was there but the reds were still in bed. moved down to the sweetlip grounds once again they were asleep.
hit victor baileys and we put some livies down. mine began to panic and then on retrivial of the line "george the livie" was no longer.
inclose was not firing so we hit chardons. the wind changed to 20kt, first drop up comes a 2kg pearly fish were constantly being hooked up. with a few keepers coming in. some big catties were playing today and they go hard. 3 big catties were caught then i was onto a solid fish. calls of "catty" were being made then a 3kg+ morwong came up .
not many keepers were landed however was still a great day. was a tough day but the skipper didn;t stop trying.
cheers phil
