Thats a seriously big fish [smiley=2thumbsup.gif] [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]. Makes you wonder how big a metre+ fish must look. And no smarties reply "about 8cm bigger"![]()
That's Huge!!! Nice fish, well done.
Pj
the old boy told me once he hooked one and got it to the surface that was about a foot across the head - but once she decided to go she went - that was around tin can - also heard of a story of one as long as a beach towel but cant recall who where what why when and how........was just a kid.
What was the length of that fish mate.
92cm mate and saw plenty more marks that size once the water dropped...........must be a few around
Well done mate ... very well done indeed almost the size of the one I got in the tweed river (Chinderah) about 2 yrs ago. My mate cried when I let her swim away but that is the bestes feeling of all seeing a biggen swim free to breed again so our kids can catch them in a few years![]()
Rainbow Trout is NOT skittle flavoured fish.........
it was bloody hard for me mate cause i had never got one over 70cm and i would be lying if the thought of her on the table didnt go through my mind - but when the adrenalin stopped common sense prevailed and you are right - she will be the grandmother of the ones my kids will catch and that is what i would love to see rather than her on the plate.
excellent specimen and excellent response by a thoughtful fisherman ...congratulations
