Quicky with the plastics
Went out in the channel for a quick flick with the plastics. Nothing seemed too interested in our offerings apart froma few undersized flatties and 1 26cm bream which was a bonus on a big flathead shad.
Decided to change tactis and drag a few hard bodies around for flatties. Got 5 between 45-66cm, 1 tailor around 25cm and a little trevally.
Headed back to "the drain" to stock up and take out some live prawns to see what was interested and got another 3 little trevally, 2 just legal trevally 2 stud bream (30, 35) and 1 more flatty around 50cm.
A great day out on the water. Gettting jew gear ready next as a night assault on the breakwall seems in order after 2 months away from it.

Any day out on the water is a good day, a few fish caps it off just nicely. Good luck with the jewies.

Sounds like a good day out Matt. Which hard bodies were you using?

We were mostly using boomerangs in the 65, tropical frog colour and a pink hyrdobug (???) and a pink DK.
Most of the fish were caught on the hydrobug which was interesting as the boomerang usually shows up all the rest of the lures.
O forgot to mention, saw a school of salmon chopping on the surface later that arvo and got 3 between 750-1.5kg on 20g raiders.
