gaday all .
I had planed to fish the bay saturday morning in search of a tuna or 2.
but fellow club member daniel invited me out off the goldie for the morning.
it started out ok with lite winds , we headed north first and found some good ground.
heaps on the sounder but with no decent bait on board it was a bit tuff, we had planed to fish jiggs in deep water but had second thoughts, smallish boat and posible crap weather come in.
but we had some old bait, i was haveing a pretty good day with lots of fish taking the crap bait
i woulkd have gone well if the flathead classic let you fish the reefs.
i got 4 in a row. reef flaties all around the 45cm mark.
got 1 yakka on a twin hook gang. and as we moved around from a couple K's north of the seaway to Casino reef in the south. hooked a couple reasonable tailor around 40-42 cm.
9;30am the wind picked up and made things shitefull.probably the highlite for the trip was the whales. followed 1 lot and had another lot breech about 100m away .
their sneeky buggers , every time i got the camera out that was the last we sore of them for 30-40 minites.
trolled for some speedies and that didn't happen ether.
Maybe next weekend will be better!
i still managed to geta feed. kept the tailor and freed the flathead.
Daniel had a shocker not a fish for the morning
a crap days fishing is still better than a good day at work.
no pics not wurth the time for a few average tailor.
till next trip.
