    Top catch flickflack,
    You must be absolutely stoked after such an effort. I bet your wrist was aching a tad afterwards. Doesn't hooking up to something big on a small spin rod get the adrenelin pumping. I've just recently found out it's very very addictive and a fish like that certainly makes you forget the many fruitless casts that went before it. Looking forward to more reports and pics.

    Yeah Wes this is the time we got most of our big kings jigging last year. Basically Oct to Dec were our best jigging months last year, every trip we got a few good fish.Some reaaly good one NE of the Seaway as well.

    That is a good fish on that tackle. The plugs look like no-nonsense and castable too, are they available locally ?
