Wading for lizards
I got away from work early this arvo and headed straight down to the flats beside the hornibrook where I had some success on Monday. Conditions were tough with a stiff afternoon sea brezze cutting a fair chop into the run out tide. It made me concentrate more on staying in touch with my plastics rather than just jigging, winding and waiting for strikes. I learn more about using these things with every outing and I'm only just starting to get some consistent results.
End result was 1 60cm lizard with another 4 between 30cm & 40cm released. All caught on berkley dropshots in pearl/watermelon and pearl/olive on 1/6 gamakatsu jig heads.
Unfortunetly I left the camera in the car and couldn't get a photo until the end of the session. Fish always look better when they have just come out of the water rather than half an hour later.
Cheers Kev
