CAIRNS - Tell me why... I don't like mondays

Actually, I love Mondays. Especially when they coincide with flat as a tack weather and a string of days off work. Got up around 5am and headed to the reef. Nice not having to line up for the ramp, and the water was about as flat as I've seen it...

so we fished the bottom for a while and caught a couple of trout..

and cod, before deciding to spend some time chasing the tuna that are hanging around at the moment.

saw some little splashes on the surface and a couple of birds working. It wasn't very inspiring, but threw some slugs anyway. Ended up nearly having a heart attack when some solid yellowfin came charging after the slugs. Trust me, you only want to catch one of these on an eggbeater!

Also went for a snorkle on the reef flats and threw some deep divers around, catching a small trout and other assorted reefies.

I couldn't possibly live anywhere else, AND on a monday!
