Nice fish there Steve. Great day on the water. sure beats working
Looks like it would have been pretty warm out there though, even under the canopy - would still trade it for my airconditioned office in a fempto-second
well done steve! Love those Yellowfin mate, what a surprise they would have been.

Hey Greg,
Looks like you upgraded to the suzi four stroke. How do you rate its performance compared to the yamaha?
yeah guys, it was a hot one - especially without any wind. That's why I couldn't resist jumping in and snorkling around for a while. Could have stayed in the water all day! I did check the temp on my sounder - can't remember exact numbers but think it was between 25 and 27 degrees.
There was hardly any current where we were, so bottom fishing was tough, though we still managed a decent feed of reefies. I was surprised at the variety of fish feeding on the surface though. Along with the yellowfin, there were plenty of mack-tuna that would chase the hooked yellowfin around as they circled under the boat. Also small queenfish (2 - 3kg), big long toms over a metre (frustrating trying to keep a hook in them) and solid Golden trevally that would swim up within sight in the clear water.
Another thing, there was no frantic feeding action on the surface - no turning the water to foam, just the odd splash here and there signalling a school of fish feeding just under the surface.
Good day though. Looks like early next week might be another ripper, fingers crossed
cheers,
steve
