Big Cod, yeah mate, there are a few out there. But 3 are in 120m+, so on this trip, each boat took a wreck otherwise its bedlam with e3 rigs trying to drift the same wreck.
Nothing but snaps at the deeper ones and sharks.
Although we did pull a big kingie the trip before on one of the shallower ones.
Then only thing is its a bloody long way out there with the lighthouse visibile on the horizon, very eerie out there at night dodging the trawlers.
But worth it for the fish they hold.
