Callemondah Barra action
After much talk around the traps, hit the pipes at Police Creek behind Gladstone K-Mart.
About 15-20mins in got a nice Barra around the 50-60cm mark. Being my first time to this location, Barra made short work of my braid and proceeded to swim away with my new Halco Laser-Pro. Definitely added that episode to the memory banks.
Have heard of fish up to the 85cm mark but none over the metre.
Keen to hear of more Callemondah stories.
Great having Sport-fishing less than 5mins from your front door.
Tight Lines as they say.

Re: Callemondah Barra action
The GAWB has released heaps of barra there.
Good to see them coming along, I know some people years ago who put a net across there and caught huge bony bream over a foot long and had there net ripped to shreds bysomething. Also we used to get heaps of prawns in the drag net there before they put the weit across >
I still dont know how they changed it from Auckland to Police creek

Happyrock,
Good to still hear reports of fish being caught in there. Sounds like the place to be while the trouble and strife is shopping !

HappyRock & CQ,
I'm heading up to Mackay/Prossy early next year and am mad keen to get onto a barra charter for a 1/2 day trip. Anyone you'd be able to recommend up that way?
Any help would be appreciated..
grunta.
