AS with all newbies, you'll need to source information on fish species you want to target, gear, locations and bait. Then there is weather, tides etc.

Brad Smith ( in phone book ) operates a charter business down there, and it would be worth the $'s to utilize his experience for your area.

The Broadwater holds good numbers of Whiting over the summer months. All you have to do is find a ' quiet ' spot. The Tailor will also be on the chew in the Seaway as will Trevally and Falthead.

The area from The Pin all the way down to The Nerang river is worth trying. Deep Holes, Sand banks, weed beds etc. Bait for Whiting is Blood worms, sand worms, wrigglers, cribbies and maybe Yabbies.

Land based or boat, there are many opportunities to worry the scorer.

OH, and I suppose there is always the ' surf '.

    Have fun.

    Cheers Phill
