    Lota 20/12

Tried the mouth of Lota Creek land based this morning between 5am and 8.30am with SP's. Bites were few and far between but I managed four little flatties (25-30cm) on bloodworm squidgy wrigglers and berkley pumpkinseed gulp grubs. All fish were caught well after the start of the run in tide. Nothing to bring home but compared to my recent trips it was a roaring success

Tried to take a photo of the largest flattie with the digi only to find the batteries were flat. Too many pictures of the dog in reindeer antlers and the christmas tree!!!

    Regards

    Chris

    Thanks Steve

I think early morning starts are the go in the school holidays. There was only me and two other blokes out there until about 8.30am when a family group arrived. Had a chat to one bloke who got three whiting on yabbies. Said it was pretty quiet for him aswell.

Probably try again later in the week.

Definitely a good spot to pump some yabbies. You can park on the esplanade and walk out across the flats.
