Wello Point 28.11.05
G'day
Well.... wednesday arvo saw me put in at wello about 4pm..............and the wind was blowing. I had aspirations of going up to green but not a chance. Had a friend of mine onboard from work so we dropped the pots off and headed up to huybers. Stayed there for 10 minutes and thought bugger it. Swell was large and wind was 25kts. Pretty big in a 12' tinny. Left the pots overnight and went back this morning to finde a coupla undrsize crabs and a jenny or 2. All sandies... nothing too exciting. Took the boat round to tinny creek for high tide, and i felt like belting up there again as it's been a while. It was good practice on learning to read the sounder as i've recently skimmed through that post in the electronics section. I went up as far as i physically could on a high tide and then pulled a lure on the way back down the creek. Achieved a couple of hits but no hookups. Lets damn well hope this wind dies out for next week.

You must have been very keen to get out there. Well anyway still beter been there then been at work
Just have a good look at http://www.seabreeze.com.au/graphs/qld.asp and http://www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/wrap_fwo.pl?IDQ17500.txt before going out as this may help with a better protected spot to fish.
Better luck next time

G'day
Thanks for the seabreeze site Steven70. I'm allready familiar with the bom site andhad served me well. I thought the wind was going to drop off on dusk as the air cools down..... didnt happen. It was fun and all in good time. Just means more fish for another trip.
