More pine river muddies (Friday)
Hi went crabbing again this morning with my mate birdy.
We left home this morning at 5.15 and had pots in about 6 oclock. Left the boat ramp and thought this is to good a day to be up the river should be fishing the reef as it was picture perfect.
We worked the same areas as I did yesterday and checked the pots on the hour again.
Same deal as yesterday first lot of the pots did not produce and keepers but as the tide ran in a bit quicker they started to come on a bit better.
We checked the pots five times from 7.00 o'clock through to about 11 o'clock.
We managed one keepable crab every time we pulled the eight pots up with a few jenny's and smaller bucks amongst them.
Two of the crabs were very nice one measuring 18cm and very full and the other 17.5 which was also full. The other too went 16.5 and the other just legal. Also got a flathead on the troll with a lure but no picture as I dont like to take the phone out when I am crabing.
