Had the weekend down the Banana Coast, and managed a very quick spin around the Kalang at Mylestom. If you dont know the area, then I suggest you have a look, it is beeeeuwdiful.
Anyway, Boxing Day, we jumped in and dragged my other half's parents along as well, taking their canoe along with our Hobies.
There wasnt a lot of action, what with all the speed boats, tinnies, jetskis and all else.
But in 1 hour I still caught 4 fish, all undersize so thrown back.
Some small unkown thing, then 2 flathead about 25 and 30cm. The last take was a 6" Bream that fought like he was 30cm or so. Id like to catch him again in a few years!
All in all a very pleasant outing, and we will be back in Feb to take some of the region's best flathead.
