    rough at harries

    hi all,
got desperate and decided to go to harries for the top of tide. wind looked good at home (manly west) so on water by 6 am.
calm in harbour, 5-10 at green, 15+ at harries all from north.got to spot and set up with 5 others.had some just under squire first up so this looked promising but by 7.30 it wint quiet, just peckers.tide turned and wind blew (uck) so called it quits. back home ,boat cleaned by 9am.
most other early birds came back about then also, just yacheties getting sails ready for their fun.i will persist and produce the goods .

    SNAFU.

ps. still no spotties that i know of down this way yet.

    hi kernal,

mate i am no expert but i find hole baby squid and green prawns the go at turn of tides, hi or low.the squid seem to get more sweeties and prawns for squire.whole small whiting are great for the bigger fish (snapper) with one large hook through beak comming up between eyes.
watch out for sharks as i have been done over 3 tims by them with big snapper. have not managed to actually get a whole snapper in boat yet but i will persist till i do .

i would like some help with SP as i just cant seem to get the hang of it yet.i might try shallows at wello in morning again on monday with my 6 pound fire line rig .

went to harries on sat morning but all quiet till hi tide then largish bream came on chew, all went back as i realy wanted one of those pinkies.
left about 1200 as wind realy kicked in and i didnt want to be last one there.

    SNAFU.
