Jsut to add the to flatty/ shark report by Fritzy. As he mentioned it was increidibly slow. And it wasnt until Danny_SHep finally got his leccy into working order that we finally managed a few good sessions. Caught a few nice trevs, bream, flatties and cod and was bitten off by a vrey big tailor... bit ahrd on the 6lb vanish. Caught one nice long nose trev which had had a previous encounter with something toothy. Finally last night i headed out for one last go. using chicken fillets jsut off the banks, first cast had a good bite withing seconds of hitting the water. I was thinking maybe this chicken stuff is actually alright. Second cast Rain starts to come down, and with lightening getting closer i was beginning to think maybe this would be a short trip. Told my sister to keep her rod low, and then about 1 minute into the second cast, come up solid with a nice 30 cm bream which was released, now I'm thinking this chicken stuff is very good. Third cast along comes the wind, and was thinking can this get any worse, we were in the middle of a blodoy big storm, when all of a sudden the line is peeling off. beached a nice 1.5 lb bream then ran for it. Hahah lucky we didnt stay any londer as it was a bloody nightmare outside. Stilll a graet way to finsih the trip, with probably the best quality fish i caught for the 2 weeks.
Cheers
Jackash
Ps a few pics of the trev to come from DAnny_shep I hope.
